Are you asking for an MX record?

'nslookup -type=mx whateverloopydomain.com server.com'

or

$ nslookup
> set type=mx
> server server.com
> whateverloopydomain.com
> ^D

Or, using 'dig':
'dig mx whateverloopydomain.com @server.com'

If you still can't see it, check your 'syslog' output for an error.
