thread safe dns resolver

Is there is a thread safe resolver library for Solaris (preferably 2.6)?
If there is not a library available for this then does anyone have any
idea how to do a dns lookup from within a thread?

I've already looked at libresolv (resolver and friends), and it is not
thread-safe... Ed
