Can't resolve certain domains

Hello all,

I have a very basic 4.9.4 BIND server on Solaris 2.6.

Its configuration is very much like the configuration in O'Reilly's DNS and BIND
(3rd Edition).

I don't use forwarders and have direct access, via a Firewall, to resolve
Internet names, using the db.cache file to get to the root servers. Nothing
dramatic so far.

The Firewall resolves off this DNS server to resolve names for users who browse
the Net. Very straight forward.

I have certain domains that I simply cannot resolve and I do not know why? There
are only two very specific domains that I cannot resolve to.

Can anyone advise how I can best track this problem down? It doesn't seem to be
a network problem, because if I set a DNS tool, such as nslookup, to use another
DNS server on the Internet, then I can resolve this domain. However, one site
was more than 30 hops away when I performed a traceroute on it!

Looking forward to your thoughts and advice.
