Size limit for a zone file?

We're using:
VERSION.BIND    text = "8.2.2-P3"

My question is this...Is there a limit to the
number of entries a zone file can hold?  We are
setting up a service that once a user joins a
CNAME record gets created for <user>.domain.com
We currently have > 4,000 users and expect to
eventually have >1,000,000.
I've looked through the BIND documenatation and
didn't see a limit (but I'm sure I overlooked a
lot)
