Other OS vs. NT

My vote is for UNIX. The GUI solutions are not nearly as
simple as they look when something goes wrong or when you need one of
those once-in-a-life time solutions to a temporary problem that are so
simple with shell scripts, perl, awk, sed and even small C programs.
The beauty is being in charge and not just running vendorware. Also,
no license fees or lawyer talk. Things are like they should be. Need
an upgrade? Just download it and go. Nothing beats free when it
works.

Let us also not forget the hard work and intelligence of the
people who have contributed to this open spirit. The software may be
free as far as Dollars and Cents, but someone or ones spent a lot of
time and trouble on it. Don't forget to be willing to contribute your
own sweat if you should come up with something useful that lightens
the load when it comes to administering dns and related areas.
