Underscore in Hostname

Use the "check-names" option in the "options" section of named.conf.  Using

     check-names master warn;

will let BIND 8.2.2P5 warn you of such illegal names but still use the
information.

     I have a customer that was previously hosted on a solaris box which
allowed
underscores in the hostnames.  They have over 200 workstations throughout
the state that use this hostname to retrieve there roaming netscape
profiles.

     Can anyone tell me if there is a way around this restriction?  Is
there
anyway I can get bind 8 to use underscores in the hostname?
