DNS Cache

The named process is eating up our 512MB RAM by about 45-60 mins. Because os
all the lookups that are being perfomed against the server.

Starting and stopping the daemon will give you an empty cache, but
there's no flush command.  

Why do you want to do this in the first place?  Unless something has
gone horribly wrong, you want things to stay in the cache for the
specified TTL value.
