Sorry for the misunderstanding.
mailhost is an alias for the Primary server ns1.broadband.net
Hence the logs have been read from the master.
ns1.broadband.net is a multihomed server, with 2 interfaces:
mailhost.gt.ca:/# nslookup
Default Server: mailhost.gt.ca
Address: 0.0.0.0

> ns1.broadband.net
Server: mailhost.gt.ca
Address: 0.0.0.0

Name: ns1.broadband.net
Address: 207.107.209.130

> mailhost
Server: mailhost.gt.ca
Address: 0.0.0.0

Name: mailhost.gt.ca
Address: 209.17.128.80

> exit

mailhost.gt.ca:/# ifconfig -a

You have read the logs on the slave. How about reading the
logs on the master as that is where the problem is (and has
been logged when the zone was loaded).
