I'm using stunnel with telnet. Only allow those with the correct certs to
connect.

ssh seems too kludgy for me - too much junk stuck in it. Having all that
port forwarding and stuff is too scary - so many things could go / be done
wrong.

OK so stunnel with telnet is a kludge, but it's a simple straightforward
kludge <grin>.
