How to Configure Reverse nslookup

Sir,

    We  have registered a domain with vsnl,india . nslookup for  this
domain is working fine. But, we are not getting proper reverse nslookup
Moreover,we were asked to give the entries for reverse nslookup and CNAME.
But, we are not in a position to  put proper entries to the reverse zone
file. Hence, we request you to provide the neccessary details regarding
the same. It will be very useful,if you could send us a  sample file
containing the neccessary things required to be put in the reverse
nslookup file.

PS :-  We are running the DNS name server on RedHat Linux 5.2 Kernel
2.0.36 on an i686.
