BIND 8.2.2 -- Unable to build on HP/UX 11.x platform

I am having a hard time getting the new bind to properly link and
compile using gcc 2.8.1.  I have no problems using gcc 2.7.2.3.

The error comes down to the lack of definition of pgcnt_t somewhere
causing the lib/irs stuff not to compile...and then the succeeding
links in the utility programs to file with an undefined symbol:

	__h_error_set

Oh yes, omit the -ansi flag for gcc 2.8.1 or else other things fail.

Anybody encountered this issue.....(and of course provide a fix :-)).

PS: it would be nice if one segment of a makefile would end if there
	is an error instead of continuing on .. at least add a switch
	or option if desireable.
