BIND or Equiv for NT?

Under NT, you can install an extra service "Microsoft DNS Server". It used
to be really buggy, but seems to be stable and useable now.

It's main advantage - the GUI - is IMHO a major drawback, though. You will
never know the inner workings of DNS if you just klick you're zones togehter
instead of writing them yourself. AND: it is a lot harder to debug. So I
would definitely go with BIND NT by Lawrence Kahn.

And yes, besides the classical O'Reilly "DNS & BIND" book, of which you'll
definitely need the 3rd edition, there is also an edition "DNS & BIND on NT"
that covers the Microsoft DNS as well. But for learning, you should stick
with Larry's famous and gorgeous BIND NT 4.9.7 and the former book. You can
always switch to MS DNS after you have understood what it does with your
data...
