Messages in SYSLOG running Bind on IRIX

	You have an error looking up the NS records for the root.
	This could mean that you have not provided a root hints zone.
	I would post your named.conf / named.boot file.  Can you also
	let us know which BIND version you are running and if there is
	a firewall between this box and the internet as a whole.

	Also there appears to be a version mismatch between your syslog
	library and the syslog daemon.
