difference in reverse lookup

Dear All,

- name server 1 runs BIND 8.1.2, master
- a nslookup for the full reverse class-B zone returns :

  Name: xxx.xxx.in-addr.arpa
  
  
- name server 2 runs BIND 4.9.7, slave
- a nslookup for the same full reverse class-B zone returns :

  *** No address (A) records available for xxx.xxx.in-addr.arpa
  
Does anyone have a clue why this would be the case ? Is it caused by the 
different BIND version ? Both servers are known to be authoritative for the
reverse zone.
