Just want to thank the people who were helping me figure out my DNS problem, especially Barry Margolin (who oftentimes sounds surly in his replies, but nevertheless replied to my call for help). As it turns out (most of the time), there was no problem at all with my BIND - it was my IP configuration at fault!
