Using wildcards with named ?!?!?!

I need to setup a DNS (Linux - RedHat 6.0) to translate all 3rd level
domains at *.foo.org to some IP. Is this possible, or I need to make a
static entry for each 3rd level domain I might need?

If it were possible, would it significanlty slow down the system?
