Scondary is not working

Well, As I know, if I like to have primary & secondary DNS for the some
client
the client must has two nameserver entries on the resolv.conf,

Note: it can be done on Sol 2.6 by add this entry:
options retry:1

but it can not be done on Sol 2.5.1
Some one have any idea???????????
