Multiple CNAMEs disallowed?

Well, strictly following RFCs, you can't. However, some people like to
use multiple CNAMEs for various purposes. Traditionally, BIND allows
multiple CNAMEs in zone files. BIND 8 requires a special option to be
turned on in the configuration file:

options {
   multiple-cnames yes;
}

Bear in mind that, with BIND 8.2.1, you'll probably also need the
Mark Andrews' patch to make multiple CNAMEs work (they seem to be
broken in the original 8.2.1 distribution), lately published here.
