We are running bind 4.9.5-rel on our Internet gateway machine
(PPP dialup account). Our ISP's DNS machines' IP addresses
are listed in our named.boot file. Also, we use diald.

I've noticed the following messages which I don't understand.

I don't understand what an findns error (2) means. I would appreciate any
help in
resolving this problem.

By the way lately, some of our users have been experiencing intermittent
problems
emailing (both locally & externally). They receive a "No transport
provider was available
for delivery to this recipient." message. I have a suspicion that it is
related to the
dns problem. Sendmail (our mail server) is configured to queue the mail
and deliver it
every 15 minutes.

Thank you,
Darrell Shane
