Have you even tried it?  This is not a BIND issue, this is a DNS issue -
and all name servers should comply with the DNS standards.  "Should."
Of course, this is also 1995 code.

If you are correct, then there is no way to get out of forcing your
users to enter "www.web.mydomain.com".  Of course, they'll just be
clicking on a link rather than typing, anyway, won't they?  ;-)
