does bind 8 know doman names like "a_b"

could anyone tell me if BIND 8 know domain names like "abc_def",i mean if
the following configuration works?

test.hosts:
abc_def    IN     A 10.1.1.1

test.rev:
1     IN    PTR    abc_def.test.com.

can "_" work in Bind 8?

any suggestion would be appreciated.
