Hi,
i have seen a bind dieing on Solaris 2.6 ... 

(root at machine)~ #/usr/local/sbin/named -v
named 8.2.2-P5 Fri Nov 19 11:30:53 MET 1999
rout at watch:/opt/source/bind-8.2.2pl5/src/bin/named
(root at machine)~ #uname -a
SunOS machine 5.6 Generic_105181-16 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-1

Last messages in syslog were ...

Dec  6 14:19:18 machine named[5331]:
	rcvd NOTIFY(sub.dom.ain, IN, SOA) from [192.168.192.168].53
Dec  6 14:19:20 machine named[5331]:
	ns_notify.c:353: INSIST((zp->z_flags & Z_NOTIFY) != 0) failed.
Dec  6 14:19:20 machine last message repeated 1 time

I anonymized machine, domain and ip addresses ...

This has been the first death since the compile timestamp ...
