Ambiguous def of multiple CNAME

Upgrade is on the way, and I know you hear this all the time,
	"But it worked perfectly before ...."

Well it did, up until Monday.  And we hadn't change anything.  The client is in an uproar because I'm not able to explain why it had ever worked even with this bug.  I thought software bugs are predictable and repeatable.
