root-server trouble?

I can't query b and i.root-servers.net (ping is ok). In addition,
k.root-servers.net gives me flaky answers (e.g., it doesn't know about
devcon.net, while a does).

Any clues on what that could be? I utilized host, nslookup and dig, with
consistent results.

Sorry if thats a FAQ -- in that case, please point me to the right
document.
