Lame servers

Hello,
I am running a caching-only name server (BIND 8.2.1) on a Linux (RH 5.2)
machine which is connected to the internet via a cable modem. I have
read the FAQs, DNS and BIND, Ask Mr, DNS, etc. No help. Here is the
problem: I keep getting messages like this in my syslog:
Aug 17 11:33:51 CX282694-A named[3323]: Lame server on
'65.247.188.205.in-addr.arpa' (in '188.205.in-addr.arpa'?):
[24.2.48.33].53
Aug 17 11:38:33 CX282694-A named[3323]: Lame server on 'www.acmebw.com'
(in 'com'?): [24.2.48.33].53
And on and on and on... it seems like every other DNS lookup results in
one of these messages. 24.2.48.33 is Cox at home's primary DNS server, but
I have tried using my employer's (a different ISP) name servers as my
forwarder and I still get tons of these messages. Here are some sample
stats:
Aug 17 06:49:12 CX282694-A named[3323]: XSTATS 934886952 934771996
RR=1944 RNXD=265 RFwdR=1110 RDupR=11 RFail=21 RFErr=0 RErr=0 RAXFR=1
RLame=614 ROpts=0 SSysQ=160 SAns=6304 SFwdQ=1059 SDupQ=754 SErr=1
RQ=7349 RIQ=0 RFwdQ=0 RDupQ=6 RTCP=2 SFwdR=1110 SFail=0 SFErr=0
SNaAns=6267 SNXD=117
The RLame=614 looks very suspicious. Everything I have read seems to
indicate that this is a problem with someone else's configuration, but I
find it hard to believe that www.acmebw.com and rs.internic.net have
their DNS misconfigured. I have tried to figure out where the problem
is, ask my DNS who is authoritative for a domain, then go to those name
servers, and they give me authoritative info, so as far as I can tell I
must be doing something wrong. The DNS and BIND book says I should have
additional info, something like 'learnt (A=333.333.333.333
NS=444.444.444.444)'. Why do I not get this part of the error message?
And why all the lame server messages?
Thanks,
