Compile Problem with 8.2.1 on SunOS 5.7

All,

I have searched the ISC site & Deja, but have not seen a solution...

SunOS 5.7
bind 8.2.1
gcc 2.8.1

I'm getting an error message during make when it tries to compile herror.c

gcc - g -02 -I../../port/solaris/include -I../../include - -D_REENTRANT -c 
herror.c -o threaded/herror.o
gcc: cannot specify -o with -c & multiple compilations
*** Error code 1
make: fatal error: Command failed for target `herror.o'

Any ideas?
