BIND (Berkeley Internet Name Domain) is an implementation of the Domain Name System (DNS) protocols and provides an openly redistributable reference implementation of the major components of the Domain Name System.
ISC hosts two public mailing lists relating to BIND:
| bind-announce | BIND-related Announcements. If you're interested in knowing about new versions of the ISC BIND Distribution, security updates, and patches, you should subscribe to this list. It is a fairly low-volume list. You do not need to subscribe to this list if you subscribe to bind-users |
|---|---|
| bind-users | Discussions among users of BIND. It is also available as the newsgroup comp.protocols.dns.bind. This is a good place to discuss problems that you are having setting up BIND, or getting it to do what you want. We also provide archives of this list. |
| bind9-users | Discussions among users of BIND 9. NOTE: This list has since merged with bind-users. For historical purposes, we provide archives of this list. |
