Certification for DNS/BIND and DHCP administrators

DNS/BIND, DHCP, DNSSEC and IPv6 Certification is Here!

In 2012, acting in conjunction with our training partner Men & Mice, we announced our DNS/BIND, DHCP, IPv6 and DNSSEC Certification program.

These certifications are based primarily on the protocols and also from material presented in the DNSco & Men & Mice training curriculum. (Please note: The certification also tests operational experience. If you have never operated a DNS Server, DHCP Server, or IPv6 network, attending the training might not give you enough information to successfully complete and pass the certification.)  
ISC and Men & Mice currently provide the certification testing online, two times per month.

This certification gives administrators an advantage in their job performance and careers through certifications that are quickly being recognized in the industry. Organizations seeking experienced professionals will get a reliable way to assure the knowledge of an administrator.

Certification Levels: 
The following certifications are available: 

  • Certified DNS/BIND Associate - based on the material covered in the "2-Day DNS & BIND Introductory" training
  • Certified DNS/BIND Professional - based on the material covered in the "5-Day Intro DNS & Advanced BIND topics
  • Certified DNSSEC Expert - based on the material covered in the "3-Day DNSSEC Workshop"
  • Certified IPv6 Associate - based on material covered in the "3-Day IPv6 Essentials

Certifications are available to past and current trainees with one test included with training, after that, and for DNS admins who have not taken the training from DNSco or Men & Mice, the certification fees are: 

  • DNS/CA - Certified DNS/BIND Associate: $275.00
  • DNS/CP - Certified DNS/BIND & DNSSEC Professional: $585.00
  • DNS/CDE - Certified DNSSEC Expert: $350.00
  • IPv6/CA - Certified IPv6 Associate: $295.00

Testing is provided by ISC or Men & Mice via Online-dates are below, and "seating" is limited.

OnLine Certifications test dates are scheduled  for:

US hours: on May 7th, June 4th and first Tuesday of each month

European hours: on April 30th, May 30th and more to come
