Redwood City, CA --
Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) and TOP-IX have installed a new F-root nameserver in Torino, Italy. The new server was deployed in co-operation with TOP-IX, the Torino-Piemonte Internet Exchange and CSP , the Information-and-Communication-Technology Research Centre in the Piemonte region.

Rodolfo Boraso, CSP, who coordinated the project working with Alessandro Avidano, CSP, declared, "We are pleased to offer you our help improving the reliability of the Internet. These servers deliver impor tant benefits directly to Internet Service Providers in Turin and the neighbouring areas, but they also have sign ificant impact worldwide."
