1) This list is for the purpose of discussing firewalls, and related security topics.
2) Code for cracking programs (programs designed to help break into another system) should not be posted to the Firewalls mailing list.
3) Job openings and resumes should not be posted to the Firewalls mailing list. There are other lists and entire sites dedicated to that purpose (see the SecurityJobs list at www.securityfocus.com)
3) The postmaster team will be the final arbiter's of what is and is not on-topic. Posting off-topic messages is grounds for immediate removal from the list.
4) If removed from the list once on these grounds, you are welcome to rejoin, as long as you agree to follow the rules. If removed twice, we will bar you from rejoining.
5) You can subscribe a local redistribution list or a gateway to a local newsgroup, as long as whatever you do is local to your site. This restriction makes it much easier for the postmaster team to track down mailer problems.
6) If your email bounces, we will unsubscribe you. Same thing goes for vacation messages that actually respond to the list. You can rejoin latter and read the archives for the missing messages.
7) Discussions about list policy are off-topic on the list, and subject to removal from the list. Email to firewalls-owner@lists.gnac.net if you have questions or comments about these policies.
