Warned of an Attack on the Internet, and Getting Ready

Though we are best known for our BIND and DHCP software, these are just one part of ISC's mission. ISC also takes pride in operating one of the Internet's 13 top (root) level namservers. Part of being a root nameserver operator is doing what it takes by preparing for the worst-case scenarios -- even if they never happen. If we are doing our job as root operators, then the vast majority of Internet users will never notice what we do.  Check out this NYT Article to learn more about one of our efforts to protect the Internet.
