A conversation with Internet Systems Consortium president Paul Vixie

Paul Vixie has a lot on his mind. As the president of the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC), a non-profit public benefit corporation based in Redwood City, Calif., Vixie and his team at the ISC are tasked with producing and distributing open source software and protocols to help quash cyber crimes.
This week, Vixie sat down with InfoExecutive at the Canadian Internet Registration Authority symposium and annual general meeting in Toronto to share his point of view on the current state of the Internet. As it turns out, Vixie’s burden – the knowledge that the Internet is an expansive place where cyber crooks can roam free and exploit Web surfers – is also at the centre of his professional mission.
