Thanks for your input Thijs, tho I find your assessment confusing.
It certainly seems to affirm the observed behavior with my full
configuration but it flies against Darren's advice and my read of:

Doesn't this indicate it is? And as far as I can see in Micetro this cannot
be changed. So at a minimum the CA *must* be on port 8000

A good point, however I suspect my deployment is failing before any problem
with this hook library.
