[Kea-users] conflict reservation

Hi all,

I need some explaining or perhaps a solution 🙂

Our config has lots of host reservations based on circuit-id.
This is done to have a single address allocated to a single port no matter what hardware is connected to that port.

The problem I am seeing at this time is when hardware is changed on the port we get a reservation conflict as the IP for that port was alreade allocated (to a different hw addr)

Is this just a problem with this setup or could I tweak this some more?

Other question i have:
I could manually remove the IP from the database (in our case a file) but this seems to me time consuming.
Our setup consists of 2 DHCP server (load-balancing). So at this time I shutdown the isc-kea-dhcp service on both machine remove the reservation files (or just delete the reservation in question) and start the services again..
Is there a better way of doing this ?

Thanks
