I think that was one of the options that Glenn suggested.
I can confirm that it works, as we do something similar here at UCD.
We have behind-the-scenes magic like yours, but using Perl rather than
Ruby, which generates new dhcpd.conf files as required.
I expect you'll need to be aware that mixing "allow" and "deny" can
lead to confusion. I've chosen to use "deny" in all cases: where I
want only known hosts, I use "deny unknown" and conversely.
