only need to send a query once - if someone knows the answer then 
it's likely to be answered - if you get no reply then it suggests 
no-one has an answer.

BUT - if you spam the mailing list like this then you stand a good 
chance of not getting answers because people have decided to just 
ignore you (or even blacklist your mails).

This is a fairly basic netiquette.
