Yep. If you have control over the local net like that and have the required architecture. unicast addressing or SLB solutions are fine...but some people are a layer removed or providing network 'transit' from the LAN rather than the services themselves.
You'd think that these parts of DHCP provisioning would have got fixed..but no. Things behave just the same when you use IPv6....I had better hopes for SLAAC.
