DHCP not working for ehternet

> DHCPv4 client package has been modified to use sockets by defining USE_SOCKETS in site.h of the includes directory so that it works for ppp interface. But it is not working for Ethernet LAN. DHCP discover messages go from the client but it doesnot receive any response from DHCP server. Could you please suggest how to resolve the issue?

By defining USE_SOCKETS you are saying that dhcpd does not need to
handle LAN broadcast messages. The two are *incompatible*.

If you need to handle LAN clients: Either setup a second DHCP server,
or use a router as a DHCP relay agent.
