If they know the LAN IP addresses then they can manually configure an
interface on their computer and completely bypass your dhcp server. You
need to install access control lists on your router to block access.
Alternatively, a protocol such as 802.1x might help - this requires
each client to have a certificate to access the network. Common for MS
Windows, and possibly other operating systems.

I have heard of sites that implement a post dhcp phase that opens an
access list to allow the allocated IP through the router, but I don't
have any personal experience with this.
