Hello All,

I want to kick-out some events when DHCP does an DHCPACK on an IP and client does a DHCPRELEASE. This event will be handled by another daemon which will carry out some specific tasks other than the nsupdate. I came across the section on EVENTS in tha man pages of dhcpd.conf. I got the code for the dhcp too - version 3.0.7 .

How do I go about making custom events, the code present in dhcp-3.0.7/server/dhcpd.c has two styles of nsupates std_nsupdate and old_nsupdate, if i choose the update style to be "ddns-update-style interim;" then i should be using the std_nsupdate right ?? Can anyone provide any working sample of a custom event
