lease file parsing

The feature that I would like to request is the ability to name pools so
that they are consistently identifiable in the lease-balance log
messages.

In this way a syslog scanner can monitor for low pool situations,
provide time based statistics, etc.

Not trying to answer your question, but I recently wrote a Perl module
for parsing dhcpd.leases files:

http://search.cpan.org/~cvicente/Text-DHCPLeases-v0.1/lib/Text/DHCPLease
s.pm

It'd be nice to know if anyone else finds it useful.
