It won't be syslogged unless you configure the log entry with that. You can
also turn the vendor-class identifier option on and it will store it in
dhcpd.leases for any actual lease, which is what I do.

I'm trying to identify if a client is sending a specific vendor class
option- but don't see it getting logged in syslog- what level of
logging is needed to see these ?
Is there an inventory or list for some known vendor-classes
(specifically looking for HP iLo) ?
