I have set up a dhcp client and it does the following:

#dhclient eth2
There is already a pid file /var/run/dhclient.pid with pid 2344
killed old client process, removed PID file

#ifconfig eth2

Capturing the dhcp packets, everything looks fine. Only the IP address
assignment is missing. Any ideas? My system is Debian stable with Linux
2.6.22.1

Thanks,
