Friends of ISC

ISC believes that actions speak louder than words, and much of its accomplishments in the past years remain a testament to this. ISC’s success is a result of a symbiotic relationship between its constituents and itself. In order to continue to serve the Internet community and to better its involvement, ISC needs an increased support from the community.

Internet has now become a vital part of daily life, as we know it. Though the infrastructure created 20 years ago continues to serve the community, new requirements to improve the Internet continue to emerge; among them include DNSSEC, IPv6, Secure BGP and RPKI. As the Internet has grown, so has the expense of serving the community.

Originally launched by a grant from UUNET Technologies, ISC’s current funding comes from a variety of sources. The majority of which comes from ISC’s fundraising efforts and memberships to software forums. Commercial style services such as software support, consulting, training and secondary DNS hosting are some means by which ISC solicits support. It also manages to offset software development costs by ‘selling’ specific features and functionality to companies that are willing to directly fund software. To augment and strengthen ongoing fundraising efforts, ISC now offers Organizational Membership and enhanced sponsorship benefits for the software forums. We invite you to take part and enjoy the benefits.

Please contact ISC if your organization is interested in becoming part of Friends of ISC.
