The Internet Software Consortium OpenReg System
===============================================

This directory contains the source code distribution of the ISC
OpenReg registry system.

The ISC OpenReg system provides an EPP (Extensible Provisioning
Protocol) based domain/host/contact registry management system,
suitable for running a full-featured domain registry.

See the file INSTALL for instructions on how to build and install
the ISC OpenReg software.  As the OpenReg system is a fairly
complicated suite of interrelated daemons, extensive support from
various third-party software packages is required.  Detailed notes
about exactly what software packages are required, along with sample
build instructions is included in the REQUIRED-SOFTWARE file.

Additional notes about which parts of the REQUIRED-SOFTWARE are
required for specific operating systems is documented in the various
README.xxxx files.

Known software issues, both with the implementation of EPP, as well
as the overall registry system are discussed in the doc/ISSUES.txt
file.

OpenReg by users, and is an appropriate place to look for help if
you experience problems installing or using the software. To

Please include as much detail as possible, and don't forget to
mention the name and version of the operating system you are using
