Internet Systems Consortium's Internet Domain Survey, which was started by Network Wizards, is the longest-running survey of the size of the Internet. This data provides an in-depth look at the active domains on the Internet. Unlike domain information from the InterNIC, which includes domains that may not be in active use, the Domain Survey only lists domains that are supported by a DNS server on the Internet.
Datasets consist of lists of IP addresses and corresponding domain names, and are available for all top-level domains. This huge, unique compilation of IP addresses and domain names is essential to anyone doing analysis of the makeup of the Internet.
All data is provided on DVD in a format that can easily be imported into most popular databases and is priced at US$ 2,500. An annual subscription (4 surveys) is available for us$7,500. Please note that this package does not include the right to resell the information in an unprocessed form. If you would like to purchase a copy, please go to our order form.
Educational institutions should contact survey@isc.org at ISC to discuss an educational discount.
