Dear Shinichiro Shimada,

Thank you for contacting ISC. Regarding your question below, I posed this to my Senior Engineer. His feedback is as follows:
-------
It turns out we have an open issue to add more detail on these options in the ARM:

https://gitlab.isc.org/isc-projects/bind9/-/issues/1687<https://secure-web.cisco.com/1cbQxXl0wsgdDPeOamK0UGO7A8s4zv2_Y6o58YDyIoCwJjioOypXQaqvZS9Kznzi8Gk36Ww-36YqFD2wsfD_WqyaqqBv7bW8NlXWfBx9566RTnnHjHbmv3sJ-9FJc_cQLE6l-dKFIgqAVe92YQekXs8OOmr9mJu4VBdj4CPCH7XpbfdHvhHeFHEkJXF4z58Cp4aWegR1BDHdamYhzHXI2koHv5IUwoSl76qIJHJYPClh-WacWKkcQpTzeH_HUEvrvd1W29dIxo2gOdpw3yhtfuyu0wg_zurVShJC0uqIxWT1MzuUoLNTzxyCXAnqNB_O5ilhXASRn5V-fGk9UyHXoiA/https%3A%2F%2Fgitlab.isc.org%2Fisc-projects%2Fbind9%2F-%2Fissues%2F1687>

However, I'm not sure when it will be addressed. This is the very type of question that a
customer would ask us & get details on... so it is a good example of a ticket.
--------------
That said, I'm not sure whether or not you have interest in a BIND subscription with ISC. I am attaching a data sheet for your review.
As a BIND subscriber you have priority for this types of requests. If you let me know the approximate number of BIND servers you are running, I can give you budgetary pricing for subscriptions at each level (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).

If you are not interested in a BIND subscription, then ISC also offers free resources, such as our BIND Users Group:

The BIND Users Group: https://www.isc.org/bind-users-mailing-list/<https://secure-web.cisco.com/1mgv9fjxMjcq9T4h2CUhvdYQ-5crTCwRGUyaIRCIyiSzrLoxKJXZtesh_PTS8aL7A4L30OByevkbnWW8A6TliWyX91kfApHHx2SSK6ICeYw54X4UYS08jYxFzf9y3WJ3bxoL0DT_xdj8Bh_L-mpF9EdcEgJ3ff8EztwIe9z2HG25HftI4zvWAdcPfdEy1V-v8T4Lp6x_WD0aKssPk8pv5Wl8PwiClCex7WWOIun9pd_igfile6LRcdUSYjETkvYEMxO6AZH9sMJTH8XwoEHC73AaAV_HcqPe16GKurGjkeLvvSWDplUZe8uLfgatw2ystru0U1_ts0c4GBh4CFNdBDQ/https%3A%2F%2Fapp.futuresimple.com%2Fapis%2Flinkr%2Ftrack%2Fc43e5929-cd78-4673-ae46-2735600edc1b>

To whom it may concern,

This is Shimada from DNS team in Hitachi, Ltd.

I would like to inquire on new function of BIND9.16.27.
Please tell me more about the options below.

・resolver-nonbackoff-tries
・resolver-retry-interval

I’ve already checked BIND 9.16 ARM but too short description to understand it.
Could you tell me how to use above in what kind of environment?
It would be helpful if you could introduce me to a link that contains information.

Best Regards,
Shinichiro Shimada
