Because BIND won't do what you are wanting it to unless you configure it
this way .. (I don't mean to be trite, but I honestly can't tell you the
technical reason -- I'm sure that one of the engineers will be more than
willing to respond if you are looking for a strongly technical answer).

That's the cost of doing views.

If you weren't defining each zone in each view, you weren't doing it
right to begin with -- this complexity is one of the reasons that I
strongly recommend AGAINST using views unless they are absolutely
required and can't be worked around by changing your namespace in some way.
