I use it on Slackware with no problems at all, I know others using it on 
CentOS 4 and 5 (which is RHEL 4 and 5) who also have trouble free 
operations.

You need to be more speciic, how many concurrent sessions do you have, 
and exact version(s) of bind and what flavour (distro) you are using, if 
not using isc.orgs tarball source code (highly recommened so you know the 
likes of RH and Debian are not butchering them, which they do)
