Thanks for the quick reply, but I found out what was wrong, and I'm
embarrassed to admit this, but I had everything right, compiled,
installed, everything, but was starting an old version of BIND.

Replying again (after I read again :)
Try to look them up manually using dig on same server using same remote
nameservers.
